About the project

About the project "Influencing careers of VET students"

The influVET project was developed in response to identified gaps in career planning and counselling within vocational education and training systems. While digitalisation and social media have created new professional opportunities, such as influencer careers, many VET students lack access to structured guidance that would help them understand the demands, risks, and opportunities of these professions.

Research, surveys, and direct work with VET students and educators show that interest in influencer careers is increasing, but that educational systems often remain focused on traditional career paths. At the same time, VET teachers and associated experts frequently lack specialised knowledge and tools to address emerging professions linked to digital and creative industries.

The influVET project aims to bridge this gap by developing innovative educational resources that combine career management, media literacy, and digital competences, adapted to the realities of the contemporary labour market.

The project contributes to the following Erasmus+ priorities:

  • Addressing digital transformation through the development of digital readiness, resilience, and capacity;

  • Contributing to innovation in vocational education and training;

  • Adapting vocational education and training to labour market needs.

  • VET students interested in influencer careers or other digital professions;

  • VET teachers responsible for career guidance and counselling;

  • Associate experts such as pedagogues, psychologists, and career counsellors;

  • NGOs, institutions, and employment agencies working in career management and youth empowerment.

About the partnership

The influVET project is implemented through a transnational partnership that brings together organisations with complementary expertise in vocational education and training, career management, media literacy, digital skills, and non-formal education. The partnership was formed based on shared values, and previous joint project experience at national and European level.

All partner organisations have extensive experience working with young people, educators, and professionals in the fields of career guidance, employability, and digital transformation. Through close cooperation, the partnership ensures high-quality development of project results, effective implementation of educational activities, and strong dissemination and sustainability of outcomes.
