InfluVET Curriculum tested with educators and experts

Our InfluVET curriculum, which was designed to empower VET teachers and career guidance experts in navigating the world of influencer careers, has completed its testing phase across Croatia, Germany, and Serbia. The results are in – and the feedback is positive, which makes a significant step for the Erasmus+ co-funded project.

An InfluVET curriculum put to the ultimate test

The InfluVET project addresses a critical gap in vocational education: providing structured, high-quality career guidance for students interested in the rapidly growing digital and creative industries, particularly influencer marketing. To ensure the curriculum is practical, relevant, and effective, the project consortium organized a series of local training courses in the three partner countries – Croatia, Germany and Serbia.

Over the previous period, 30 VET teachers, school pedagogues, psychologists, and career counselors participated in intensive training sessions. These workshops provided a hands-on opportunity for the experts to engage with the curriculum, test its methodologies, and evaluate was it useful for their skills and learning.

“The Curriculum gives us clear structured framework”

The primary goal of the testing phase was to gather expert feedback and validate the curriculum’s approach. Participants shared high levels of satisfaction with the knowledge and skills they acquired.

Data gathered from the training courses show increase in the participants’ capacities. One part of the experts shared that the training was highly useful for their professional development and that now they have a clear overview of digital careers and influencers, and how to guide students better.

One participant from Croatia noted that “the modules provide a clear framework for discussing influencer careers, and ethical considerations. I feel more ready to support my pupils in this field. An expert from Germany highlighted the practical nature of the workshops, stating that “using non-formal methods were incredibly engaging, and that this learning-by-doing approach will be certainly be used in the future.” A teacher from Serbia mentioned that unederstanding the whole media literacy and financial literacy behind influencing careers was something she finds useful and meaningful. “We need to provide our students with modern skills that they will use in the future! It was a great training!“, the teacher noted.

What do we have in store for you next?

With the successful completion of the testing phase, our Consortium will now finalize the curriculum, incorporating the feedback received from the experts. The finalized curriculum will be made freely available in four languages (English, Croatian, German, and Serbian) on the project’s online platform.

The project is now moving towards its next major phase: a series of national conferences in Croatia, Germany, and Serbia, where the final results and resources will be shared with a wider audience of stakeholders.

So, we invite you to stay tuned for more updates!
